KUALA LUMPUR, 23 July 2026 – The Malaysian Digital Association (MDA) has announced its new Council for the 2026–2028 term following its Annual General Meeting on 22 July 2026. Nicholas Sagau Tony Ngimat, Chief Operating Officer of REV Media Group, has been reappointed unopposed as President for a second consecutive term, with a renewed focus on uniting Malaysia’s digital community, strengthening industry connections and creating shared opportunities for growth amid the rapid rise of AI, emerging technologies and the creator economy.

Joining the leadership team are Sue-Anne Lim – Chief Executive Officer, Universal McCann, as Vice President; Natalie Fong – Partner, Head of Digital Trading & Biddable, Dentsu Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd, as Treasurer; and Nik Justin Nik Mohd Ariffin – Head of Group Corporate Communications & Strategic Relations, Karangkraf Group, as Secretary.

Building on Industry Momentum

Priorities for 2026–2028

MDA’s priorities for 2026–2028 will focus on the forces shaping the future of the digital industry: research and measurement, AI and emerging technologies, the creator economy, and digital talent development through industry collaboration. As AI and new creator-led business models accelerate change across digital media, marketing and advertising, MDA will work to help the industry build a shared understanding of their impact, exchange practical knowledge and develop the capabilities and opportunities needed to navigate this transformation.

The Association will continue its flagship programmes, including the d Awards, d Conference, d Young Achievers Programme, Digital Wednesday and Teh Tarik with C-Suite, while developing new platforms and initiatives that respond to emerging industry needs. MDA will also deepen its engagement with government agencies, industry partners, educational institutions and other associations to advance conversations and collaboration around AI, the creator economy, changing media consumption, measurement, talent development and evolving digital business models. Through these efforts, MDA aims to build a more connected, collaborative and sustainable digital industry while strengthening Malaysia’s position in the regional digital economy.
